Machine Gun Kelly Has Retired from Rock Music…for now

I’m not sure what to call MGK. Is he an artist? Musician? Entertainer?

Whatever he is…rock fans and musicians everywhere are now rejoicing as MGK has announced he is stepping away from rock music.

The darkness has cleared and there is now a light at the end of the tunnel!

MGK released two “rock” albums, and has decided to return to rap, he said in an interview with Kevan Kenney of Audacy.

He reportedly said that he will not return to rock music until people start missing his first two albums. Sadly for MGK, that day may never come.

MGK made waves in the rock community when he made fun of the band, Slipknot. He was on stage during Riot Fest in 2020. MGK, who once dyed his tongue black and painted his fingernails black and white to match, said, “Hey, you all know what I’m really happy that I’m not doing? Being 50 years old, wearing a fuckin’ weird mask on a fuckin’ stage. Fuckin’ shit.” He eloquently said this to thousands of fans.

MGK then posted on Twitter that the singer of Slipknot, Corey Taylor, was bitter for being rejected on a guest spot on MGK’s latest album. This statement was proven false by emails. Yikes.

What are your thoughts? Did you ever listen to MGK’s “rock” albums? Are you happy he’s stepped away from it?
