Brookes Freshers Week Sorted: Our Top Tips👌
Moving to Oxford Brookes can be as daunting as it is exciting — but if you just follow our top tips below you’re sure to have an awesome week.

Do a big food shop at Oxford Tesco on the ring road before you move in
This will be so much easier than trying to find supermarkets later and you can get anything you forget to pack.
Don’t worry if you feel exhausted by all the going out
It can be great but getting your flat in for a chill film night can be even better. Check our Brookes Student Minds #BestNightIn campaign.
Check in Brookes facebook groups to see if any of the students in years above are selling their old textbooks which you need for your courses
They’ll be way way cheaper.
Sign up to Brookes Hub’s mailing list and join our welcome event!
You’ll have free time around lectures and there’s no better way to meet great people whilst using the time to volunteer doing good. You can sign up here.
Go to Freshers Fair and your subject intro sessions
Even if you’re too tired to listen properly, it’s a great chance to meet the other students you’ll be seeing for the next three or four years, plus freebies and food.
Brookes Hub believes Oxford Brookes students have the power and potential to shape our world and local community. We are student-led and create opportunities for volunteering, making our ideas for social change a reality and socialising with each other. Check us on facebook and twitter and get involved.
