Brookes Hub perfectly filled a gap I was looking for in my university experience.

Sarah, recent Brookes grad

Before I joined Brookes Hub, I didn’t really feel very well connected with my university but the Hub got me involved with students from other societies.

It is easy to get involved in, and lets you to get to know each other and work together with projects based in Oxford. I think it is really important to represent students in a positive light in the local community, which is what we can do through the Hub.

I took on the role of Vice President on the Brookes Hub committee the second year I was involved - a role I would never previously have had the confidence to do.

Brookes Hub has given me that confidence and really helped with my time management skills between the Hub, my studies and other societies I’m involved in.

It has also impacted my future career plans. As a Business Student I was drawn to an opportunity to gain experience in marketing, and Brookes Hub created this opportunity for me — and helped me to get an ethical internship with a charitable organisation over the summer thanks to their fantastic contacts with social enterprises and charities.

Brookes Hub is open to all Brookes students. Get the awesome opportunities Sarah got for yourself by signing up here or getting in touch with Ab.Brightman@brookeshub.org.

Applications for our voluntary programmes will be opening soon!
