The Slumdog documentary
I saw this heart touching documentary about four bright street children in Mumbai. The team followed their lives through three months and managed to save one, Salam, from drug-addiction and potential sexual abuse. And what’s great is the documentary makers continue to follow their lives and post updates on the documentary’s website. It’s not all a happy story to read and I wish they would update it more often (the last update was in 2012).
I wish there would be more documentaries like these that are focused on specific children and are more transparent about how their lives have been advancing/changing over the years because of peoples’ efforts and donations.
