DRM can be complimentary to a more open ecosystem for consumers to obtain content, but they’ve never been able to stop piracy. The more a certain piece of content is shared, the higher the value of the copyright to the work.

I see blockchain as a way for content holders to sell unique editions that have residual value because it’s backed by the blockchain for authenticity — meaning that consumers can resell unique editions just like they used to resell old books or CDs.
