Three Spectacular Alaskan Hikes

Hikers visiting Alaska have countless opportunities to explore the spectacular natural scenery. Three hikes in particular to consider are:
1. Crow Pass Trail. Less than an hour from Anchorage, this more than 20-mile hike covers part of the ancient Iditarod trail. Crow Pass features views of mine ruins, Crystal Lake, the Chugach Mountains, and Raven Glacier. For a shorter hike, hikers can cover the first four miles of the trail.
2. Eielson Ridge Trail. Located in Denali National Park, this hike offers rich opportunities for exploration. The steep hike behind the visitors’ center leads to the top of the ridge, where hikers can view wildlife and begin exploring off the trail.
3. Exit Glacier Trail. A short hike of less than two miles, the well-maintained trail takes hikers right up to the foot of the impressive glacier. Hikers can follow the Upper Trail to the Harding Icefield for a different vantage point.
