I roll one up, turn the TV off, throw my jacket on and head out the door to spark it up….. and just as I expected, it is still cold outside. May is literally 2–3 weeks away and I’m still wearing a jacket. I’m not used to this kind of weather, I hate this kind of weather.

Back where I’m from when spring came around, I would be at the beach, having barbecues cook-outs, partying, and playing basketball outside with my friends. Speaking of Basketball I still can’t believe I just witnessed the Black Mamba last NBA game. He made me proud to be a Lakers fan.

I’m happy to be alive to witness the moment of a great legend retiring after 20 years in the game….Has it been that long already? Holy shit, 😱 I’m getting old. I’ve watched this dude play since I was a kid. The world hasn’t been this emotional for an athlete retiring since MJ.

I am a huge MJ fan, but my generation grew up consciously watching the wrath of the Black Mamba, so seeing him hang up his jersey today got me remembering. Now I truly understand how people from the past generation felt about MJ retiring.

Some say he’s the MJ of our generation but I don’t think so…….. I would say he is the Kobe of our generation.

Life got busy for me these past years. Unfortunately, I stopped writing. Something in my soul told me to get back to writing. So please expect new stories.
