Year of the Budz.
Welcome to the Bubble Budz 2022 whitepaper. Nenz and I are incredibly excited to be sharing our plans for the project and the direction we are taking in 2022 with you all.
Bubble Budz V2 was launched in September 2021 with amazing community backing. There were no Influencer pumps, the market was down bad, and no one was minting anything. Even with those constraints, Bubble Budz minted out a total of ~2500 Budz across 578 owners.
From day 1, our aim for Bubble Budz was to create a community where people can learn more about NFTs safely and transparently, participate in the highest quality WL opportunities for other great projects, and get together with like-minded people to form lifelong friendships. And we’re excited to announce a few things that are going to do to get these in motion.
But first, we needed to take a step back. It’s no secret that we didn’t mint out, and that’s okay. However, when you don’t mint out, the community can take a hit. Again though, that’s okay. It removes the flippers, and you’re left with a solid community who are just as a part of the project as we are.
We took a hard look at ourselves + the community and came to the conclusion of what makes us different. It’s the people that make us different. We’re filled with incredibly smart, dedicated, and just downright nice people who all share the same goals in this space. It’s time to feature them in their specific space, which in turn, will allow for a better Bubble Budz.
Imagine this. It’s the middle of the week, you’ve just listened to Chief brief you on his next plays in ‘Chiefs Calls’ — the most alpha thing you’ve heard all week. Then Denis_ pings you about the next altcoin about to moon. Perfect. You remember Stinaa is hosting her ‘Learn with Bubbles’ episode tomorrow to go through NFT Discord Safety, with Not Chief hosting how to safely store your NFT the following week. You watched Chief and Nenz battle it out in ‘1 to 100 ETH’ hoping your side triumphs so you can take a share of the winnings. And that’s all in addition to getting your next hyped project WL + minting 1000 Bubble Budz w/ $BUBBLEZ. !sheesh
A place to be comfy. A place to learn. A place to be proud of.
So, how are we going to build on top of this? Our strategy for Bubble Budz is to grow our project across two very important categories that will set the stage for future growth. Retention and Acquisition.
Retention
Our main focus will always be to continue adding value to the existing community first. How can we reward active members, and how do we incentivize Bubble Budz owners to interact with the project more?
Bubble Budz Dashboard
A centralized space for all Bubble Budz activity.
The aim of our dashboard is to allow our holders to get value from being in the community, even if they might not be able to check Discord 24/7.
The Dashboard will act as a central hub for activity information, a summary of Alpha, Whitelist history, Bubbly Series Hub, Alpha Accord, $BUBBLEZ information, events, and much more as we grow.
It will play an integral role as we grow Bubble Budz into a community where we all learn about the space, get news, share insights, and engage with one another in various events. Attendance and interaction are especially key… as your $BUBBLEZ account will start to love you.
Bubbly Series
It’s time to get back to our roots and focus on the thing that separates us from the rest. Our people. That’s why we’re creating an overarching Bubble Series, with multiple weekly shows under it. Currently, we’ll have 5 shows.
Chiefs Calls
Follow Chief on his own journey to generational wealth when he shows you his plays, and how he gets there. With access only provided to verified Budz holders, this is something you don’t want to miss.
1 to 100 ETH
Chief and Nenz are going to face off, and YOU will reap the rewards. Our founders will each start with 1 ETH and the first to turn it into 100 ETH wins. And the best part, verified Budz will select a side, and whichever side wins, a portion of the winnings will be shared with YOU! And for the losing founder, a punishment must be in order. We’ll let the community decide.
Learn with Bubbles
The best way to give back to the community is to teach a Bud to fish. And it’s time we did that. We’ll be giving you personalized fishing less.. just kidding.
We know a thing or two, as do our Mods and community. This educational series will take place every week and will focus on everything from how to create an NFT collection, how to stay safe, UX/UI, investment (and how to do it well), and even IRL stuff! All hosted by an educated member of Bubble Budz… that could be YOU! Attendance and completion is noted and rewarded. And it’s just for verified holders.
Chatting with Chief
Chatting with Chief is a long-form conversation hosted by Bubble Budz founder Chief with prominent guests in the NFT space. Guests will include prominent NFT figures, collection founders, crypto gurus, and more!
Degen Budz
A series that needs no explanation. We’ll be featuring the degen plays that hopefully don’t result in a rug. A definite DYOR, NFA series hosted by the top Degens in the Budz community.
So, every week, starting NEXT WEEK (!lfg) we will be hosting our own series. Up first will be ‘Chief’s Call’s, so make sure to pay attention to our Events in the Discord.
Alpha Accord
As shown in the Dashboard, we will be introducing an ‘Alpha Accord’. There are always times where you need a second opinion, especially in the NFT game. And when you have whales, Silicon Valley…ers and influential people in your space, that needs to be pounced on.
Enter Alpha Accord.
A curated section (submitted by you) of NFT projects with the team’s sentiments. Each project will be accompanied by detailed information and thoughts on the project alongside the authors of the information. (Written by Chief or Written by Chief, Nenz, Stinaa etc.)
To access this sought-after information on whether to Diamond Hands or even Paper Hand, Bubble Budz owners will be able to submit project ideas to get feedback from prominent alpha callers by paying $BUBBLEZ.
e.g: You heard about a new project and want to get feedback from whales. You submit your project + pay X amount of $BUBBLEZ and the project will be listed under our NFT Alpha List with feedback. Profit.
The best thing is, this will be visible to ALL Bubble Budz holders. Easy!
All this plus your $BUBBLEZ and crypto information, and all the latest on your Budz portfolio. This is just the start and will be the central Budz hub.
Acquisition
Another big avenue that we will be focusing on is growing the Bubble Budz community and showing the perks of it to a wider audience.
From day 1, we have stood by the notion of not being part of the status quo and paying “Influencers” for short-term pumps.
As part of our acquisition strategy, we are rolling out the following:
Bubbly Series
As previously mentioned, our Bubbly Series will also be used in our Acquisition campaign. Aside from our internal series (Chiefs Calls, Learn with Bubbles, and 1 to 100 ETH*), we’ll also be having our external series: 1 to 100 ETH, and Degen Budz. These series have been designed to get great engagement and increase awareness of Bubble Budz.
You’ll notice ‘1 to 100 ETH’ features in both the retention and acquisition campaign. That’s because only verified Bubble Budz owners will be able to select a side and share a portion of the winnings. However, we believe the concept will make for great viewing, so it will be hosted on YouTube for others to listen in on.
We expect ‘Chatting with Chief’ to be our best performing series in terms of engagement due to the prominent figures that are going to be hosted. We’ll then be able to open Bubble Budz to new audiences and expand the community.
Bubble Blast
We will be introducing a “crash” style “Grow the Bubble” game. Members will be able to play the game by “betting” $BUBBLEZ and watching the bubble grow, with the goal of claiming back their multiple $BUBBLEZ before it pops.
5% of any $BUBBLEZ proceeds that come into our treasury from the game will be used for community distributions, events, games, and more.
This will introduce a new element of $BUBBLEZ demand, which is much needed to the current ecosystem.
“Grow the Bubble” is our first game, and further games that utilize $BUBBLEZ will be rolled out gradually to support the ecosystem. $BUBBLEZ LP will be added alongside the game rollout to encourage play + allow others to get involved.
Minter/Holder Rewards + Membership
Minter/Holder Rewards
As we announced late last year, all minter/holders would be rewarded (excl. claiming free v2's). The snapshot has now been taken and rewards for our top holders are in the process of being sent out. Please note it will take some time to go through our owners and get these sent out, so please keep an eye on your wallet in the next week or so.
Memberships
As part of our holders’ rewards, we announced certain memberships for the level of Budz you hold. These include the following holding levels:
- 10 Bubble Budz — Silver Membership
- 40 Bubble Budz — Gold Membership
- 100 Bubble Budz — Diamond Membership
We’re now excited to announce the current offerings for these memberships. All memberships will be able to secure WL opportunities for upcoming partnerships on a first-come, first-serve basis. So, for example, if we secure a partnership with ZenApe for 25 WL spots, and you have a membership, you’ll be able to request to use your membership to redeem one of these WL spots (we’ll have a cap on how many WL spots can be secured dependent on the number of spots given to Bubble Budz, as we will reserve some of the spots for Discord giveaways for holders of verified v2 Bubble Budz).
The membership tiered WL spots are limited to the following:
- Silver Membership — 1 WL spot to secure per year
- Gold Membership — 3 WL spots to secure per year
- Diamond Membership — 6 WL spots to secure per year
Securing WL spots through memberships reset yearly, so you’ll be able to claim your allocated amount every year, dependent on your membership status. In order to redeem, we’ll be creating a channel, and the first holders to signal their intention to redeem one of the WL spots will be the first served. This will take place in a timed manner (eg. signal your intention in the next hour or 24 hours, so we can raffle the rest of the WL spots).
The remaining supply
We’re sharing the best for last. It’s time to get this minting process behind us and focus on the future. That’s why we’ve made the following decisions.
- We’ll be limiting the v2 Bubble Budz supply to 6,000.
- All v2 Bubble Budz from now (circa 2,500) until 5,000 will be able to be minted for FREE.
- Once 5,000 have been minted, the minting will be suspended, and the only way to get any additional V2’s will be to mint them with $BUBBLEZ.
At the moment, the only way to acquire $BUBBLEZ is through holding a Genesis Bubble Bud — which generates 10 $BUBBLEZ per day. In order to supplement the v2 $BUBBLEZ mint, we’ll be rewarding active community members in the space with $BUBBLEZ. As previously mentioned, attendance and engagement are noted.
Our free mint will be taking place NEXT WEEK (the week of the 17th of Jan, 2022). An update on when to expect this will take place on our Discord, plus we’ll confirm on our Twitter. Stay tuned. Note: this was revised to the following week.
Summary
All in all, we are incredibly excited to be sharing our 2022 plans with you all. It may have been slow in the Budz Discord, but by implementing these updates, that should change. Stick around, and you’ll be rewarded through actual rewards and/or knowledge.
It should be noted, though, that we don’t stop. We love this space, we love the Budz, and we’re all gonna make it. And all the above is in addition to everything already promised.
