How to integrate Buddy with a custom Git repository

Every single project in Buddy is based on a Git repository. There are a few possibilities: GitHub, Bitbucket and GitLab providers, or Buddy’s fully-featured native hosting.

But what if you want to add just one repo without accessing the whole GitHub account, or simply you host your code somewhere else. Does it mean you won’t be able to take advantage of Buddy’s awesome features?

Not at all.

Just use the custom repository option and follow the steps below:

  1. Copy and paste the URL to the repository
  2. Select the authorization method
  3. Configure a web hook and add it to the repository

This article will show you the whole process step on an example of a single GitHub repo. Let’s get started!
