At the second IRL event of SpringX MOVE Accelerator, North America Station. The founders engaged in a four-day communication and collaborative learning session with the Aptos Labs team. Great founders meeting great founders is such a beautiful thing to witness.

The upcoming North America event focuses on building the Aptos ecosystem together. The course topics are divided into:

Deep Connected with Aptos

During the event in Palo Alto, the founders of SpringX MOVE deeply connected with the Aptos team. On Day 1, participants visited the Aptos Labs headquarters and engaged in conversations with the heads of all core departments at Aptos.

  • Avery Ching, Co-Founder and CTO @AptosLabs: shared his experiences on personal career development and team management.
  • Zach, Aptos Foundation Head of Eco/Grants, introduced how the Aptos team builds its developer and application ecosystem.
  • David and Greg, Founding Engineer @AptosLabs: led the Aptos engineering team in sharing their interesting experiences in the tech industry.
  • Bashar, Head of the Aptos Foundation Grants: introduced how startup projects can receive ecosystem funding and support from Aptos.
  • Haley, Marketing Team @AptosLabs, shared how Aptos achieves market growth in various regions worldwide and how ecosystem projects can receive official marketing support from Aptos.
Communicate with Aptos Team

In Day2, each founder from SpringX MOVE had a 30-minute one-on-one meeting with the Aptos engineering team to provide solutions for technical issues encountered while developing on the Aptos Network.

Renowned Eco-founders Sharing

During the Eco-founders Sharing session, SpringX invited the founders buidling on Aptos ecosystem to share their entrepreneurial experiences and the unique features of their products.

  • Adam, Co-founder @ThalaLabs: his insights on product growth and token strategy were extremely invaluable, also provided great advice for each move founders.

Thala is a decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol built on the Aptos blockchain. It offers a suite of financial products aimed at enhancing liquidity and providing stable borrowing options.

  • Alex, Co-Founder @EconiaLabs: with a fascinating personal journey, Alex shared his inspiration buidling Econia product and Build on Aptos.

Econia is the largest order book and DeFi protocol on Aptos, with a seed round funding of $6.5 million. Investors include Dragonfly, Lightspeed Faction, Wintermute Ventures, Hudson River Trading, and Flow Traders.

Financing Strategy & Listing

Additionally, SpringX has invited three experienced guest speakers sharing about financing and listing. They are Julie from GSR, Jack, the founder of Aspecta, and Jon from ABCDE.

  • Julie, Business Development @GSR: shared strategies on how early-stage projects can secure funding and manage market capitalization after listing.
  • Jack, Founder @Aspecta: shared experiences and personal journey through four rounds of financing for Aspecta. Additionally, he offered valuable advice to founders on how to effectively pitch to VC as a early-stage startup project.
  • Jon, Head of Advisory @ABCDE: discussed the landscape of crypto venture capital funds from a investor perspective and provided founders with guidance on securing financing.

Beyond Course

Apart from in-depth courses and professional crypto knowledge input, SpringX has worked with Aptos to bring founders a wealth of high-quality events. On Day 1 evening, SpringX and Aptos co-hosted the MOVE Bay Area Mixer, inviting all employees of Aptos Labs, Web3 builders in the Bay Area, and investors to participate. This event provided each founder with the opportunity to engage deeply with the Bay Area Web3 community.

After the Day 2’s courses concluded, the SpringX MOVE team visited the Stanford University campus to experience this premier West Coast institution and the vibrant entrepreneurial atmosphere of the Silicon Valley area.

In addition to the regular course session, the founders gather to showcase their products and offer each other valuable feedback on product development and marketing strategies from diverse perspectives. This not only strengthens the connections between projects but also truly embodies the principle of “founders help founders.”

One More Thing

After wrapping up North American phase, the SpringX MOVE Accelerator will conclude in Singapore this June. With the support of BuidlerDAO’s comprehensive services, in-depth courses from experienced mentors, and strong connections with investors, SpringX MOVE aims to help startups in the MOVE ecosystem enter a new phase of rapid growth.
