We all carry something special with us. As a kid growing up, it could have been a collection of dolls or action figure toys we had real conversations with, where we fantasized them saving the world or the next day hosting a make-believe tea party with their “guests”, the entire roundup of every stuffed animal in the house. We brought them everywhere, and we made sure they had a good home. Whether that was in a fort of blankets built to protect them or a spot placed perfectly in the middle of your bed as your proud possession. These “friends” of ours made us feel good. They enriched our lives with the deepest connection and earliest introduction to the meaning of true friendship, a special bond we all feel today.

At Bungalow, we also carry something special with us that, like the momentos we carry from growing up, instigates a profound feeling. It cannot be replaced, grown out of, or thrown away.

Much like the sense of responsibility and care children have with their toys, we too make it our priority to find you a good home. We pride ourselves on creating beautifully furnished and affordable spaces in the cities you love, with people you can truly connect with. Friendships and group-identity have a profound impact on making us who we are today. And at Bungalow, we’re easily identified by our hospitality and focus on community. Bungalow is more than just a roof over your head and an outline of a stenciled home you see on scratch paper. We create homes that form the foundation for a set of memories, experiences, stories and relationships. Each Bungalow is a colorful piece of enjoyment and community.

It is from this focus on home, rather than basic infrastructure, that we have crowned the pineapple, as our new rebrand and logo– a universal symbol ofwelcome, friendship, and hospitality.

It was an easy decision, and an appropriate one for Bungalow, to represent ourselves as the sweet and tasty fruit we all crave. The fruit symbolizes the intangible assets we seek to find and create within a home: warmth, comfort, good company, friendship and hospitality. It’s simple, memorable, and timeless. If you look closely at our logo’s primary identifying features, you will find that the openness of our circular-shaped letters, represent being open and welcoming. The slants of letters “B” and “L” allude to a roof. The texture of the pineapple speaks to our neighborhoods and community. And the gestured top of the pineapple represent the playfulness of our brand.

The pineapple’s unique appearance quickly became a possession many desired. In the 18th century, only affluent hosts could afford to offer it to their guests. Thus, the gifting of the fruit was viewed as an act of generosity, and wealth. In our Bungalows, you will see visuals of pineapples in our home decor or common areas, where people gather. The pineapple had a long journey before it found its present-day use within refreshing cocktails or the mouth-watering upside-down cake. And Bungalow is fully ready for the exciting journey we have ahead. We are tackling the residential real estate market by making it possible for our residents to live in a home with leases that are flexible and accessible, giving them more time to do the things they love. And central to our mission– providing a community to be a part of. The atmosphere found in our homes isnot something you can buy in a box and bring home with you. People want to be a part of it, and Bungalow is happy to greet them with open arms.

At Bungalow we believe that creating a home is less about the building itself, and more about the emotional connection and sense of comfort behind closed doors. A happy home is about your living space reflecting the essence of the person you are.

America fell in love with the pineapple, and over time its symbolic message of hospitality remained with us. Bungalow is on a mission to bring this symbol of warmth into your home, creating an inviting community and natural way to welcome your guests — no matter where you live.
