Joan Miro was a prolific Spanish artist who worked in a wide range of mediums, including painting, sculpture, and printmaking. He is perhaps best known for his Surrealist paintings, which often featured biomorphic shapes and bold colors. However, Miro was also a master printmaker, and his etchings, aquatints, and carborundums are highly sought after by collectors. He was born in Barcelona, Spain in 1893 and died in 1983.
