How to Exit
One of the decent things about NRx is how they discussed Exit, something that 4chan-tier political shitposters have difficulty understanding. Many of these 4chan-tier shitposters still live within 100 miles of one of the following cities; San Francisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Washington, D.C., New York City, Chicago, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Raleigh-Durham, Charlotte, Atlanta, San Antonio, Norfolk, Cleveland, Detroit, Houston, Dallas, Indianapolis, El Paso, Albuquerque, Phoenix, Birmingham, Miami, Tampa, Daytona Beach, Memphis, Little Rock, Tulsa, Kansas City, Des Moines, St. Louis, and Buffalo.
The vast majority of these cities are criminal-ridden hellholes filled with cynical hedonists or degeneracy hotspots. What makes you think it’s acceptable to live near them? What makes you satisfied with living in a suburb near a major city that is essentially rotten to the core? All these cities are mere shadows of what they used to be 100 or even just 60 years ago, don’t you see the decline? What makes you have such low standards that you’re willing to live out your life in the shadow of a declined city? Because you lack capability. You lack the capability to move, to leave, to explore something new. So you resign yourself to living in a socially atomized suburb of one of these big cities, because that’s all you know.
What are some cities I did not list as bad? Witchita, Omaha, Boise, Boulder, Colorado Springs, Columbus, Boston, Louisville, Nashville, Portland, Seattle, Austin, Midland, Pittsburgh, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Salt Lake City, and Denver. Most of these places are a little better if not a lot better. If you live near these cities, you are closer to participating in a real civilization rather than a post-apocalyptic hellzone. Of these, Boston is probably the worst because of its proximity to the overpopulated, cynical, overly-diverse and culturally bankrupt population center that is the extended New England metroplex. New England has been the driving force of much of the Cultural Marxism that has been dragging down the entire country since the 1960s. The other driving force of Cultural Marxism are the West coast metros of the Bay Area and Los Angeles.
The problem with most of the cities in the “bad list” are too many people, too much diversity, all in a confined space. These cities are heavily segregated and defined by racial tension. Either that or they are degenerate as hell (San Francisco, Las Vegas, Los Angeles). Places like Los Angeles have no soul, they have sold out to the spiritual rot of modern civilization. Everyone is the same, cookie-cutter people. They have a hive-like mentality based on Tinder and promiscuity and excessive individualism that is really just narcissism. Try discussing “deeper values” or “civilization” in a place like San Francisco or Las Vegas, people will have no idea what you’re talking about. Their only lifestyle is hedonism and “living in the moment” which is a sugar-coated way of saying short-sighted and degenerate.
Washington, D.C., and New York are not places where normal people can be proud to live. Washington, D.C. is a great slum capital, dependent on suburban sprawl to make it livable since few productive people in their right mind have any desire to live near its downtown. New York City is hyper-urbanized and overpopulated, its people live in an ideological bubble which is defined by disregard for other human beings since there are so damn many of them. Someone living in New York City will never experience real nature or solace within the boundaries of the city since there are too many people everywhere, just like a hive. Someone living in D.C. needs to studiously avoid or ignore the criminality and bad neighborhoods that define the place.
Chicago, Philadelphia, Raleigh-Durham, Charlotte, Atlanta, San Antonio, Norfolk, Cleveland, Detroit, Indianapolis, Birmingham, Baltimore, Miami, Tampa, Daytona Beach, Memphis, Little Rock, Kansas City, St. Louis, Raleigh-Durham, Charlotte, and Buffalo are diversity hellholes. Their downtown areas are occupied territories. They feature vast slums. Philadelphia, Detroit, Cleveland, St. Louis, Buffalo, and Baltimore in particular should be leveled to the ground. If you are stuck in the suburbs of these cities, you are just a victim clinging to the remnants of a dead civilization. You will never understand what a wholesome culture/civilization/metro area of loving people is like since your entire life will involve dodging and weaving in between evil people while trying to make friends. Hiding in a suburb is not a real life, you need a downtown that is healthy and is somewhere you can walk at night without fear of being murdered. Portland and Denver have downtowns like this but the listed cities do not. I doubt anyone living in Philadelphia, Detroit, Cleveland, St. Louis or Baltimore will even read this since most of their populations are illiterate or live in local social bubbles with no knowledge of the outside world. It’s time to give up on these places and leave them behind since civilization has moved elsewhere.
San Antonio, El Paso, Houston, and Dallas might as well be Mexico. They are not unified civilizational areas, they are two-tiered civilizations, with two or more racial groups that are in a vague, uneasy alliance but really have close to nothing in common. A Hispanic living in Dallas will never truly understand white culture, and only the poor whites will ever get very far into mestizo culture. Try dragging a Hispanic living in Dallas to an opera or giving them classical European literature, they will never get it, they will never care. Of course, many whites in these places also would never get an opera or European literature, because of the lowering standards brought about by living in a cultural blender that is more Mexican than it is American. The white populations in areas like Dallas have been on the retreat for decades and will slowly be eliminated as they intermix with the other races there.
Look at this map that overlays population density with how people voted in the 2012 Presidential election:
The Democratic Party is the party of Romney’s “47%,” those who exist by taking more from the federal coffers than they contribute. Their existence is only enabled and subsidized by the 53% of the population that is productive. Among that 53% that is productive, maybe one-third is totally okay with the unproductive 47% living on the backs of the other half of the country, they see that as a perfectly alright state of affairs. So you have maybe 35% of the country — roughly 113 million people — who is interested in having a real civilization, and 65% — roughly 210 million — who are not. If you live in metro areas that are predominantly composed of the latter, you are going to be surrounded by a bunch of entitled people with the worldview that the government owes them everything and that they deserve to be valued simply for existing, not for producing anything of worth to society.
What did Romney say about the 47%? Here’s his quote:
There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what. All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it. That’s an entitlement. The government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what. And I mean the president starts off with 48, 49… he starts off with a huge number. These are people who pay no income tax. Forty-seven percent of Americans pay no income tax. So our message of low taxes doesn’t connect. So he’ll be out there talking about tax cuts for the rich… My job is not to worry about those people. I’ll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives.
He’s right. These 47% will never take responsibility, never set standards for themselves, and they are enabled by another 18% or so who take pity on them, are brainwashed into setting low expectations, and want to rob the productive members of society into subsidizing the unproductive 47%. So you have almost 65% of the country that is leading us on a handbasket to hell of lowered expectations. Not all of the 47% who pay no income tax are truly unproductive — some number of them may be the victim of poor circumstances, they tried their best and still couldn’t succeed because of the local economy. The difference that defines the split between those able to participate in civilization and those who just take is more about a mentality than it is about an income level. The people who give up and vote Democrat believe that there are large segments of the population who need handouts to exist, who can’t self-sustain on their own labor or intelligence, and that they are entitled to be coddled and have everything handed to them for free. Free housing, free food, and so on. Everything free, accomplished by stealing wealth from others.
The way to get out of living around this Communist mentality is Exit. Cities are overwhelmingly dominated by this unproductive class and their cynical enablers. So leaving cities is not a horrible plan, in many cases. Some cities that are blue on the map are actually okay; Portland and Seattle for instance. These cities are filled with many who are productive, but they are consumed by pathological altruism that makes them check a box on a voting card for a candidate okay with stealing money to coddle the unproductive. They are okay with the government going deeper and deeper into debt because they think money is just something that falls from the skies automatically, and not handing it out in a perfectly equal fashion would be unfair. These cities do have all the hallmarks of civilization, though; healthy, wholesome families, a downtown where you can walk at night without being killed, social cohesion, and other positive factors.
Look at Atlanta on the map and the difference between the north and south is stark. This is a diploidal city, a city that has cut itself in half between those interested in civilization and those interested in plundering. Remove EBT and the southern half would not survive, it would eat itself. The northern half would survive because it can sustain itself without stealing from others.
Looking at most major cities, the results are not great. If we wish to recreate civilization, civilization as it was in the 1950s in America and for centuries throughout most of the West, we need to exit these blue metropolises and build in areas that are unattractive to the vampires and the criminals. The Bay Area was like this in the 1980s but it is not now. The key is to move north and west, because here is the only place that is the frontier, it contains more dynamic people who love nature and were willing to move to try something new. Many people in the East and South are stuck where they are because they are afraid or lack the capability to move and experience a wholesome civilization. Because they lack the capability, they try to throw cold water on those who are interested in rebooting civilization. They sit in suburban enclaves and pretend everything is okay while their cities are falling apart. It’s time to Exit these places if we want a long-term future, exit to the north and the west. Therefore I submit that the future is in places like Washington state, Oregon, Nevada, Idaho, Colorado, and Utah, not in the old, decayed, and criminal metropolitan areas of the East, Southwest, and Southeast. It’s time to move on. If you find yourself attacking those who suggest this, it’s because you have given up on civilization in the United States and have resigned yourself to a mediocre life.
