How I Got into Music Production
Hey again,
Thank you for joining me today.
I get the question a lot, “Game, how did you get into music?”
So I figured I’d answer it for good.

The Very Beginning
In high school, I would write raps to all the hit song instrumentals I could find on the internet :) Then I found friends who were also into music. I would record them on my cheap computer pencil mic (which had tons of noise) and learned how to manage and record and direct a project. I made beats for them to rap on and learned how artists deal with producers.
The Real Beginning
Once I surpassed my dabbling days, I joined a producer group founded by a producer who was teaching people how to sell beats on soundclick. I loved helping my friends in video form and eventually, more and more friends found help with the videos.
The Absolute Beginning
During university, I would try doing videos during breaks but I realized I needed more time to focus so after I graduated I made the decision to put all my energy and focus into building a business. That was the moment things changed for the good. I had to burn the boat behind me and go for it. Keep in mind I was in a state of fear due to not knowing how I would even pay for my student loan bills at the time. But I took the leap of faith.
The Gist
I grew up listening to Jazz, I even used to fuss with my mom to change the rap station when riding in the car as a 4 year old lol. She sang alot, I was in child choir at church and just loved music for a long time. Then school kind of forced me away from music. But at the age of 18 I got back into it.
What Should You Do Now?
If you believe in your skill and want to succeed, you MUST FOCUS. You cannot get real results without putting in effort, work, and training. So make the decision today to become the best you.
Have a great day friend :)
