How Much Can You Make on OnlyFans? (She made $1.2 Million in a Month)

9 min readJul 22, 2023

She made $1.2 million dollars in a month on OnlyFans. When she revealed this little eye-popping factoid to the Insider.com website (with receipts) back in early 2021, jaws dropped right to the floor across the entire internet.

Nobody could believe that a mere gamer girl, with no sophisticated operation or promotion team, could possibly make that kind of money in such a short period of time.

Well, it happened, and it’s happening right now. Belle Delphine wasn’t and isn’t the only content creator on OnlyFans making a literal fortune every month on the now ubiquitous adult-content-friendly social media platform. Not by a longshot.

This business is creating multi-millionaires left and right — and instead of declining in popularity as we get further away from the “stuck at home” ordeal of 2020 that fueled so much of the demand for its content, the exact opposite seems to be occurring. OnlyFans is becoming more popular than ever before.

OnlyFans exploded in popularity during the homebound unpleasantness of 2020, but demand for OF content has interestingly not declined in the years since. Creators are still making huge amounts of money.

So, obviously, we need to look into the question of how much do people actually make on OnlyFans. As a veteran adult digital marketer and OnlyFans marketing coach, I’ve become intimately well-acquainted with the industry and the levels of income being achieved by its content creators. I’m not gonna lie, some of these numbers will shock you.

First, let’s take a look at how much money is being made by the top models and creators on OnlyFans. Then, I’m going to lay out exactly how much money a total newbie to the business can expect to make.

I’ll also be revealing a deadly effective little trick that can boost a new model’s numbers through the roof without any need of a social media following.

How Much Do Top OnlyFans Earners Make?

Amouranth

Amouranth is a popular OnlyFans model whose real name is Kaitlyn Siragusa. She has earned over $27 million on the platform to date. She has become one of the top OnlyFans creators on the platform, reportedly earning herself over $1.5M every month.

After she brought several personal assistants on board beginning in 2020 to help organize, schedule, and edit content across her many platforms, her OnlyFans revenue skyrocketed from $350,000 to about $1.5 million a month today.

She operates her own OnlyFans talent agency called “Real Work” where managers serve as personal assistants to kickstart creator earnings and free up their spare time.

Siragusa’s team determines how many photoshoots and videos to publish, dates of distribution, and price points. Shoot days are also allocated for non-moneymaking platforms like Twitter, YouTube, and TikTok, which in turn funnel eyeballs to her biggest revenue generators.

Belle Delphine

As mentioned above, Belle Delphine shocked the internet when she reported that she had made $1.2 million in just one month in late 2020. This savvy gamer girl has made headlines for other things, as well, such as the time she actually sold her bathwater on OnlyFans to her subscribers.

Nope, don’t want to think about what those guys did with that bathwater, but it’s more than clear that this girl knows how to monetize her audience. She’s known to have made multiple millions with her OnlyFans account, but has recently slowed down quite a bit. She’s active much less on social media, these days, and only occasionally updates her OF page.

In other words, girl made bank and is now living the good life. Semi-retired and smelling the roses on the daily. Good for her!

Bella Thorne

Now this particular OnlyFans model created quite a stir when she made roughly $2 million in a few DAYS on the platform. Bella Thorne is a former Disney star, and she has a huge and devoted fan following who apparently will pay just about any price to see her nekkid as the day she popped out.

This was proven when she sent out a PPV direct message to her fans offering a single picture of herself in the nude. The unlock fee for the PPV was a whopping $200 — for a single image.

A vast number of her fans actually paid to unlock the PPV and were subsequently quite disappointed to find that the image only showed her “technically” in the nude, but covering all her naughty bits. I mention this because it’s a perfect example of how fans can completely lose their minds on OnlyFans and spend ridiculous amounts of money.

It’s also remarkable proof of the raw power of the PPV direct messaging tactic, which I’ve written extensively about in other articles. Learn more about that in my How To Start an OnlyFans guide here.

How Much Do Normal People Make on OnlyFans?

Ok so, not everybody is making Elon money on OnlyFans, as you might suspect. The above models are all in the top 0.1% of content creators on OnlyFans, which means they make more money than 99.9% of creators on the platform.

The eye-popping OnlyFans incomes that often get reported in the news media are not typical. Most content creators make much less than $1 million per month. However, actively promoted accounts often DO make a ton of money, even if the creator is not a superstar.

Having pointed that out, there’s a figure running around on the internet about the average income on OnlyFans, and I want to address it because it’s extremely misleading. It is claimed that the average content creator on OnlyFans makes only $120 to $150 PER MONTH. While this may be TECHNICALLY true, there is much more to it than meets the eye.

Let’s keep in mind that there are over 2 MILLION content creators on OnlyFans, so we’re talking about a vast number of people numbering larger than the populations of many small countries. From professional experience, I can report that the VAST majority of those content creators are NOT actively promoting their accounts.

This means that, despite the fact that they may be registered and verified on the platform, their accounts are pretty much dead. They are not posting content to social media, not regularly camming, not engaging with fans in any significant way, and basically not treating their OnlyFans account like a business.

While there are many content creators registered and verified on OF, only a small percentage of those accounts are being actively administered and promoted. When you treat it like a business, you can actually make quite a lot with your OnlyFans.

The content creators who actually DO actively promote their OF page make a LOT more money than $150 per month. So, if you only count those folks, the average OnlyFans income is easily in the several thousands of dollars per month.

And, of course, that’s just the average. Average content creators will be using standard content, standard social media strategies, and standard monetization methods. Models and creators who employ sophisticated methods for promotion and monetization generally do FAR better than average.

How Much Do Beginners Make on OnlyFans?

As I mentioned, using the right methods really makes a phenomenal difference in how much money you can make on OnlyFans. Beginners often start an OnlyFans not knowing what to do, and end up unsurprisingly disappointed.

I can tell you that, when a beginner creates an OnlyFans account and applies certain tactics that have proven quite effective, that content creator can end up making over $10,000 within the first 90 days. Knowing what exactly to do and what NOT to do is extremely important here, though.

It’s probably best to start by listing all of the common mistakes typically made by newbie content creators on OF. When you read through this list, you’ll begin to get a picture of why so many people who start an OnlyFans end up disappointed.

Biggest Mistakes OF Beginners Make

  • No traffic or promotion strategy. How will you get people to your OF page? They don’t just pop into existence out of thin air when your OF goes live, you need to rustle some up. OnlyFans has no real discovery or explore features, so it’s all BYOT (Bring-Your-Own-Traffic).
  • No consistent content posting. When you do get fans to subscribe to your OnlyFans, you’re going to need to update regularly, otherwise they won’t renew their subscriptions, and you will lose buying customers. Nobody wants to keep paying a monthly subscription fee to access a virtually dead account.
  • Neglecting DMs (Direct Messages). Engaging with your fans via OnlyFans DMs is essential to building a rapport with them that can later turn into big spending. When you can connect with a subscriber on a personal level, that subscriber then becomes far easier to monetize as you create content offers.
  • Not using PPV (Pay-Per-View) offers. The PPV feature on OF is probably the most powerful monetization tool on the entire platform. If you craft PPV content offers correctly, and post them consistently, it can triple or quadruple your OnlyFans earnings.

Trust me, committing the above sins can easily torpedo a beginner’s chances of making a lot of money on OnlyFans within 90 days. But you can actually make great money on OF if you avoid these mistakes, the biggest one being the mistake I listed first — Not having a promotion strategy.

How To Make Serious Money on OF Quickly

So, promotion is 80% of the OnlyFans success formula, not gonna lie. If you don’t have a proven way to get eyeballs on your OF page, then you won’t be making any real money. To make bank on OnlyFans, you need to get traffic flowing to your page, and the quicker the better.

When you’re just starting out and have no large social media accounts that you can use to promote your OF, the most deadly effective method you can leverage is WEBCAM MODELING. Why? Because WHALES, my friend.

You see, cam sites happen to be home to some of the biggest spenders in the online adult world. These are guys who love to spend thousands of dollars per MONTH on adult models. They usually prefer to interact with these models on livestreams, that’s why you can typically find so many of them on cam sites.

Big spenders, or those who spend thousands per month on adult content creators, are called “whales” in the business. They tend to like live interaction with models, so they love to hang out on certain cam sites. You can make a LOT of money getting them over to your OnlyFans.

A whale can spend TENS OF THOUSANDS on a model he bonds with every month, actually. Believe me, it’s not uncommon in this industry. If you can attract whales into your following, you’re going to be doing quite well. They are literally the most highly coveted “regulars” in the webcamming and OnlyFans worlds.

Luckily for those who are new to OnlyFans and have no following, popular cam sites offer an abundant amount of traffic, even for new models. Generally speaking, when you go on cam the first time, you’ll have potentially hundreds to thousands of eyeballs on you, if you stream long enough.

Promoting your OnlyFans to these adult-content-hungry stream viewers is easy peasy. I generally advise models to create a free trial link to their premium OF and promote it to their viewers while on cam.

Now, not every cam site is ideal for this promotion strategy. Some have overly restrictive rules, some don’t have enough site traffic, and some just suck donkey nuts for other reasons.

Number one thing to keep in mind when using this method is to be patient. Using webcam modeling to promote OnlyFans is a bit like fishing on a quiet lake. You sometimes have to wait a bit to get a big boy to bite, but when it happens, Hooooooeeeeeyyyy.

This method is still MUCH faster than building social media accounts from scratch, tho, don’t worry. And it involves MUCH LESS work.

Ok people, hope you got some value out of this guide. Gimme a few thousand claps, if so! And be sure to follow me, because you definitely don’t want to miss what I’ll be posting next.
