Warm Up Your Bedroom This Winter
Looking for some winter styling tips for your bedroom? As the weather gets cooler, people are preparing for cozy nights indoors. The desire for a warm, comfortable living space is apparent. What better room should you choose to warm up than your bedroom?
You can use a few simple tricks to warm up your bedroom up in just one weekend. Winter is all about layers.
Ways to Equip Your Bedroom for Winter

- A heavy fabric on your bed will add warmth to the bed as well as to the bedroom this winter. Try a down or feather comforter for a soft, fluffier bedding experience.
- Knit, plaid or crochet blankets will add some depth and help define your bedroom space. These blankets will also add a beautiful layer to your bed.
- An exotic, earth-tone fabric, full-size quilt will add a little style folded at the end of your bed.
- If your bedroom is not carpeted, a soft rug can make it easier to get out of bed on those cool winter mornings.

- Candles are a warm alternative to lamps. Place a few candles on your nightstand and dresser. Scented candles are a fabulous way to warm your room with aromas such as firewood, pine, holly, etc. The candle lighting adds a little atmosphere to any room. You can even place bigger candles in holders in the corner of your room to give an ambience of light up the wall and on the ceiling. Important note: Place the candles away from flammables such as bedding and curtains.
- Take advantage of natural light by selecting window coverings that allow for sunlight or translucent curtains.
These few simple changes can warm up the bedroom during those cold days ahead. Not only will you keep toasty warm at night, but you’ll enjoy the inviting space during the day as well.
