Testes Talk: Thomas Cantley

Nov 2, 2018 · 2 min read

Meet Thomas Cantley, a 35-year-old Atlanta-based producer, comic creator and men’s health speaker. He’s also a 9-year testicular cancer survivor. Diagnosed at 26, Thomas ignored the early signs of the abnormalities in his testes until his testicle swelled to the size of an orange and caused excruciating pain. Today, he is one of the most outspoken voices on testicular cancer — and he is known in many circles as “Mr. Ballsy” for his blunt approach to the subject.

“My biggest piece of advice is just listen to your body. Learn it. And if you notice anything out of the norm be proactive. Be ballsy about your health and get your ass to the doctor or specialist. Also, do your research and make sure you find the right doctors for you. You need to feel comfortable with the person that holds your life in their hands.”

Thomas is the creator of the highly acclaimed cancer fighting super hero comic book series, Big Ballsy Comics. He also has a 6 foot rubber ball named “Lefty” (his left ball reincarnated) that he has been known to push long distances to raise awareness about testicular cancer.

Thank you, Thomas, for your truly super hero efforts in helping to educate other men through your personal experience and through your creativity and sense of humor. Follow Thomas @mrballsy and check out his comic series at www.bigballsycomics.com.
