Reporter Judy Lin joins CALmatters

CALmatters is excited to welcome Judy Lin to the team. Judy is one of the top reporters in Sacramento. She has covered the Capitol for more than a decade, first at the Sacramento Bee and then at the Associated Press, where she has been the lead reporter on finance and health issues since 2008. Judy has been widely recognized for her outstanding work covering state politics and legislation as well as her lead coverage of the 2010 California U.S. Senate campaign. Her diligent reporting revealed mismanagement of federal grants, failure to disclose lobbyist gifts and the disclosure of a taxpayer loss that prompted lawmakers to make financial reforms.

“Judy is an wonderful addition to CALmatters,” said Editor and CEO David Lesher. “With her sharp writing, multi-media skills and deep experience in the Capitol, Judy will greatly help CALmatters tell stories about the most important issues facing California.”
