Great write up and analysis. I have not upgraded yet, but now I know some of its pitfalls.

All I have ever wanted from the iOS lock screen was what HTC had years ago… a dashboard of what is inside my phone and what’s important to me, like weather, messages, txts, etc. I had it for a little while through an app downloaded via jailbreak.

Agree about developing a new approach to iOS instead of tacking on these new features in a cumbersome manner.

The music app is another place that needs major work. Soundcloud’s app is far and away a much better, simpler experience for example.
