Broken Bow, Nebraska –June 18, 2018 — Nebraska State Bank & Trust Co. is proud to announce the promotion of Mr. Ira Spanel to Vice President.

Mr. Spanel was raised in Custer County, near Gates, on his family’s ranch. He graduated from Anselmo-Merna High School, attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Economics, with minors in Animal Science and History. Mr. Spanel first worked for Pinnacle Bank in Ogallala, then joined Nebraska State Bank & Trust Co. (“NSB”) in April of 2009.

“Mr. Spanel’s upbringing, coupled with his education in agriculture and ag-related fields has helped him thrive as an Ag Loan Officer here at Nebraska State Bank,” states NSB President and CEO, Stuart Fox. “Ira’s background has provided him a strong foundation for a career in ag lending. His personal drive, knowledge, enthusiasm for agriculture, and dedication to his customers are what have allowed him to take his career to the next level.”
