New Family Information Fair & Ice Cream Social

Mark your calendars for Sept. 6, 2016, and plan to be at the Broken Bow Municipal Building from 5:30–8 p.m. for Custer County’s first ever New Family Information Fair. It’s free — Becton Dickinson is serving the ice cream, and everyone is invited.

“Our county has so much out there … from first class schools to state of the art medical facilities. It will be fun to discover what’s new, and to connect with our wonderful local service organizations. Everyone is invited, with special emphasis on our new families,” said CEDC Executive Director Deb McCaslin. “It is especially hard when you are new to a community. It can take years before everything feels like home. Please consider this a special invitation to attend, connect and discover. If you are an old hand, please also come out to help us great our new families and say welcome, we are glad you are here.”

“We have a wide variety of entities who plan to be there, from Rotary and Lions, and Emergency Management, to the Broken Bow Library and Custer County Historical Society.”

There will be tables set up for housing options, service organizations, youth activities, emergency services, and another for Job opportunities and employment options.
