Reds eye £31m Götze switch

The World Cup winner could be on his way out of Bayern as Klopp eyes reunion

German starlet Mario Götze has been linked with a summer switch to Liverpool.

The FIFA World Cup winner has seen his playing time limited at German champions Bayern and the Express have reported that he is considering a move away.

Götze does have history with Liverpool’s manager, Jürgen Klopp who managed him during his spell at Borussia Dortmund and the attacker has hinted at reuniting with his former boss.

In a recent post-match interview, Götze laughed as he told reporters to “ask Jürgen” regarding a transfer to the Anfield outfit, suggesting a discussion has already taken place.

It is believed the Germany international would cost around £31m and with Liverpool’s owners promising Klopp financial backing in the summer, the fee shouldn’t cause any problems with the move.

Would Mario Götze fit into Liverpool’s system alongside Coutinho and Firmino?
