Welcome Erik Bremer to the Shuckers family

The Biloxi Shuckers have added an additional voice for the 2017 season. Erik Bremer joins the club as Media Relations and Broadcasting assistant. He will work with Shuckers Director of Media Relations and Broadcasting Chris Harris during game broadcasts on the Shuckers flagship radio station, WGCM 1240 AM/100.9 FM and the Shuckers Radio Network around South Mississippi. Games can also be heard via the internet at biloxishuckers.com and be viewed on MiLB.tv.

Bremer (pronounced BRAY-mer) spent the 2016 season as an intern for the Minnesota Twins, assisting the baseball communications department in the production of official publications and collecting interviews for the Treasure Island Baseball Network. In 2015, he called games for the Wareham Gatemen of the Cape Cod Baseball League. He is a 2016 graduate of Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, where he majored in Radio/Television/Film with a Certificate in Integrated Marketing Communications. While at Northwestern, Erik announced Wildcats baseball, basketball, football, softball and volleyball for 89.3 WNUR and the Big Ten Network.

“Erik is a five-tool broadcaster,” said Harris. “He has a booming voice, passion for the game, outstanding work ethic and an outstanding broadcasting pedigree. He’s going to serve as an invaluable asset both behind the microphone and in our Media Relations department. Erik’s versatility is what sets him apart, and I’m excited to work with him during the upcoming 2017 season.”

A native of Saint Michael, Minnesota, Bremer will join Harris in the booth for home broadcasts and will anchor the team’s pre- and post-game coverage for every contest. He will also assist with the team’s media relations and social media efforts.
