Charlotte SHOUT!, CLT250’s final signature event, has kicked off and will end with a three-day festival in Uptown May 9–11. Featuring art, music, food, and ideas, SHOUT! is full of unexpected surprises, both local and from around the world. Between performances, interactive displays, delicious food and art installations — there is something for everyone to love!

The Bunnies Are Here!

You may have noticed the bunny invasion on the Green or the light-up musical seesaws on Levine Avenue of the Arts. And if you haven’t checked them out yet, they’re working taking the trip!

The bunnies will be on display in Uptown until Saturday, May 11.

Be sure to visit Convergence Plaza at Trade and Tryon Streets for the debut of the city’s newest community asset, the CLT Legacy Crown. The large-scale crown was commissioned in honor of the city’s 250th anniversary and will move around the city post-SHOUT!.

Most events are free, and we are excited to announce that city employees can use the code “CITYCLT250” for discounted tickets to the headline concerts. Some free events do require a ticket to enter, which can be reserved at no cost at www.charlotteshout.com.

Spotlight on the City

Our very own Monica Carney Holmes, Placemaking Program Manager, will be part of the Thursday, May 9, panel discussion on “What Is Authentic Community?” at the Knight Gallery. The government center will also be featured on Friday, May 10, and Saturday, May 11, as aerialists dance down the building during the Blue Lapis Light performances.
