On Friday, May 10, Charlotte Water hosted City of Charlotte staff, leadership, and elected officials for an unveiling to debut the new branding of the Mallard water tower. In honor of the city’s 250th anniversary, the water tower now features Charlotte’s iconic crown and “CLT”. The event was especially significant as it is the first time a Charlotte Water tower has been branded in the department’s history of over 100 years.

Charlotte Water has served the community of Charlotte since 1899, and has continually provided the region with the necessary water and wastewater needs for the continued growth of the city during the past 120 years.

The tower serves as a welcoming gateway to Charlotte and can be seen from Interstate 85, Interstate 485, Harris Boulevard and University Boulevard. Located in District 4, the tower serves northeastern Charlotte and parts of Mecklenburg County, providing over two million gallons of water to residents daily.
