Life in Sparks Nevada
Nevada is a State that can give you many different sites to see at different times of the year.
I have had the opportunity to live in 3 of those areas in a 10-year span, and today I will take you to walk with me in Sparks.
Sparks Nevada is a town that offers pleasant living areas and amazing views of the sierras covered in snow as well as beautiful sunsets during the summer. This city was founded in 1904 and incorporated in 1905, it is one of the most populated cities in the state, with an area of 36.6 miles squared, and it offers many forms of entertainment both daytime and evening activities.
I have been a resident of sparks for about a year now and have enjoyed the seasons as they changed. This is where our travel story takes us today. Here I can take a drive to nearby parks like Rancho San Rafael in Reno, or up to the mountains, like Mt Rose, Virginia City, or Carson City, but if I do not have a full day to splurge; I can take a couple of hours to admire wildlife at Sparks Marina. Depending on the time of day, that’s how quiet or busy it will be but all in all, it is always a good day at the marina. If you are like me and simply want to put in your walking miles this is a great place to do so, it takes about one mile to go once around it at a good pace, but if all you want is to unwind after a long day the view here is just mesmerizing you can get a view lakefront into a wonderful sunset. Want to enjoy a coffee while here there is a cafe that you can stop at and get one. Summer events like the Festival of lights, summer concerts, and other activities are also available. If you have a small boat or a canoe this lake offers a quick in-land getaway. Get together with friends or go solo, it is a great way to get some fresh air, clear your mind and reenergize for the week ahead.
Enjoying a lazy summer afternoon from home is also a very good way to relax as the sounds of birds and the swaying of the trees in the wind provide for a calm quiet evening at home maybe a BBQ and some homemade lemonade for dinner to end a hectic day.
If you rather shop; Legends Mall offers many outlet shops for you to spend a good part of your day browsing the shops, have lunch, and catch up with friends over a refreshing drink at one of the many options available.
Coffee shops that cater to your beverage needs and wants from early morning to later in the day, restaurants and fast food places that can offer a pick me up at any time of day. Hotels and Casinos that offer adult gaming 24 hours a day. There are many City parks that can offer outdoor activities for the little ones. The city of Sparks, has it all and in just one day you could have holiday shopping done, or maybe just get away for a few hours to recharge your batteries.
