This is a silly criticism that seemingly underscores an insecurity and fragility with how others perceive your intelligence and — at it’s core — is tone-policing. “You can express your ideas, but you have to do so on my terms. Terms that make me feel comfortable and capable”. The social pattern you’ve described is just an easy way for people to come up to speed on what’s being discussed.

Interrupting is rude. That’s about all I agree with in this article.
