Today some of my best friends and I went for hike up Blood Mountain in North Georgia. Although I had done this hike many times before with my dad and brother, I experienced something strangely different this time around. And I am not talking about the fact that this time, without the hiking expertise and help of my father, we took the wrong trail for about the first hour of the trip. Even though that was quite the experience within itself, it occurred to me today while moving up this beautiful mountain that the man who created the significant things of the world like mountains, waterfalls and sunsets also created me. And He sent me here to do something great.

This is all coming from someone who doesn’t have the most significant religious background or even the best relationship with God. However, I now know for sure that I am here for a reason just like these other creations are.

Faith is something that’s personally been hard for me to keep growing up but today, it felt different. I suddenly felt a weight that I had been carrying drop and I truly felt for the first time that I have a purpose and that no matter what, everything will work out the way it is supposed to. I don’t know if it was the breathtaking views, the actual physical and rewarding work or the beautiful weather and good company, but this was the realization that came to me today. And it felt remarkable.
