Closed circuit television (CCTV) is a video monitoring system. CCTV systems are based on the strategic placement of video cameras, which capture and transmit videos to either a private network of monitors for real-time viewing or to a video recorder for later reference.

CCTV is commonly used for surveillance and security purposes. Using ConceptDraw DIAGRAM with its add-on called Security and Access Plans Solution lets you create professional looking video surveillance CCTV system plans, security plans, and access schemes.

There are 3 stencil libraries containing 104 vector objects in our Security and Access Plans Solution for design physical security plans.

Design Elements — Alarm and Access Control
  • Use libraries supplied with the Floor Plans Solution to depict the layout of the premises and other floor plan details.
  • Open the Video surveillance library (Security and Access Plans Solution) containing objects used for CCTV schemes.
  • The best way to get quick access to frequently used objects located in different libraries is to create your own custom library. To do this, open the File menu and select Library, then New. An empty library box will appear in the Library panel.
  • Drag and drop shapes from the drawing page to the new library.
  • Set the shapes properties using context menu.
  • Set the library properties using context menu.
  • Save the library.
  • Use the new library to create a CCTV Schematic Diagram.
Result: Now you can create a CCTV diagram with elements from a specific library.
