Dear Santa, please #PrayForParis

It has been almost a month now that Paris has been attacked. A month of sadness, grief and desolation. I’ll never forget this Friday 13th, night of horror in so many hearts.

Dear Santa,

For Christmas 2016, can you studiously bury in our memories this 2015 November 13th? I don’t want to forget it, dear Santa. I just want to live again, with this childlike unconsciousness. I want the world to be a better place, not for me but for those to come.

I was a child until this Friday 13th. I couldn’t guess that so many murders would bang our beloved city. Paris’ delicate heart was beating at the rhythm of music, laughters, and smiles. Paris’ sweetness has been wrecked by tears, screams and dread that night.

Dear Santa, please, give me my unawareness back. Dear Santa, please give these children their smile back. The smile they had before the loss of a relative. Dear Santa, please bring us a bit of light joy and delicate bliss.

No one understood what happened that night. No one wants to live again such murderous and dreadful events. In every Parisian hearts, there is today a strong flame of hope that will not disappear.

This year, I have travelled and lived in three different continents: Europe, Asia and America. Paris, Shanghai, Djakarta, Lyon, San Francisco, Labrang, Yushu, Ujung Kulon… During my adventures, I uncovered how familiar I was with people’s humor, thinking and way of living. I realize how similar we all are. Humankind is one and unique magical frame. Humankind is fabulous by its singleness. And sadly, its worst enemy is itself.
