Your dad’s always been a class act. I say that as a conservative, not because I believe Richard Dreyfuss and I agree on policy — I’m sure more often than not, we don’t — but because we do agree that we owe it to our country to hear all valid points of view.

Long before your dad showed up at a Cruz rally, he wrote the kindest, most meaningful, and certainly most respectful eulogy of Charlton Heston. I remember reading it in National Review — certainly not a place I expected to read the thoughts of Richard Dreyfuss, SAG member in good standing. He taught me a lot that day, about what being classy really is, and that there are bigger things than ideology.

Turns out, he still had a few lessons left to teach.
