Day 3 & 4 — IBM SA HQ and Polokwane
Hello Everyone!
Time is already flying and I’m not being able to keep up with the Daily posts, but I’ll do my best to keep you on the loop!!
Day 3 — First visit for the awesome IBM offices at Jo’Burg
Yes, the awesome is AWESOME! Brand new, clean, open, focused on getting things delivered and that made me very jealous, and wanting to move to SA!! :D

It was a great meeting with several IBM Execs in SA and we learned a lot about what are the expectations, how IBM SA is doing, and what are the main challenges.

After that, we went to have lunch in Lilieslief Farm, the place that was used by the African National Congress (ANC) activists in the 1960s (including Mandela), and where they were all arrested during a Police raid and were sentenced to death at first (Mandela and others were sent to Robben Island). That’s a beautiful place, very emotional and it’s being kept very nicely and tastefully.

Day 4 — Moving to Polokwane
Day 4 was basically our travel (around 4 hours — with a stop) to Polokwane, we had a lot of fun during the travel and, as you know, I went scouting around, in which this time I had 2 “scouts” with me, Pam and Dan.
During the walk, we faced my first African Sunset, and I have to say: It’s out of these World!!!

Cheers!!
