Models are not reaL. Models are an illusioN.
I know I only posted a couple of days ago but I’m sat here shopping for a nice outfit and models are seriously annoying me.
This is not because they are ridiculously beautiful. It’s because they all have unrealistic figures and body shapes.
This whole ‘hourglass’ look that is trending at the moment isn’t that attractive. Although I do think the idea of waist trainers is pretty clever but overdoing it, is most definitely not attractive.

Although this hourglass look may make you look like you have a huge bum with a tiny waist,
it’s all just an illusion, that’s not really you, so why are you trying to be something you’re not? Why are you changing yourself?
Now, a small waist and a toned bum is very attractive, to some, but forcing yourself to have a thinner waist by using product that may be unsafe to use or could cause you harm is ridiculous! Don’t do that to yourself.
The only acception I personally would make is if someone is seriously unhappy with the way their body curves. Curves are attractive (again, to some) so if they feel they don’t have that distinctive curve in the waist, they may want to work on that area and use a waist trainer to help. But that is not what I’m getting at.
What I’m saying is that girls are not naturally like that, nobody is. So why is it when modelling companies/agencies are looking for new girls/guys, they pick the most beautiful people but then change them? Why would they want a model in the first place if they are going to change the way they look, that’s not them anymore, that’s a computerised image. And this is what some girls look up to be, causing mental disorders such as anorexia. This has to be the number one thing that annoys me most. These companies are putting unrealistic views of ‘perfection’ out there for others to look at. THAT’S NOT REAL!
Zendaya is one of my favourite women in this world and what she had to say to the leading magazine Modeliste is so inspiring to younger women and girls who look up to her as a role model. Zendaya says that if anyone truly knows her, they’ll know that she’s a big fan of self love. Zendaya loves the way she is and she is comfortable with her body. She is happy in her own skin, she has confidence. So as the beautiful 19 years young woman she is, it was shocking for her to see that the magazine had changed the way she truly looks. She uploaded this post to Instagram.

I realise that this was a while ago but it’s such an appropriate example. Models are beautiful the way they are and do not need to be changed in any way shape or form.
Everyone is beautiful in their own way. My lovely friend RobynHoskin wrote an amazing blog post “what it means to be beautiful”. I honestly loved reading this and it fits in perfectly with my little rant right now so definitely go check that out. Follow her on Instagram to get the latest blog posts and updates.

Well hello there, fancy seeing you again!? It's been a couple of weeks and I think I'm suffering withdrawal sypmtoms…robbosremixblog.wordpress.com
Anyway guys, I’ll call it a day. All I’m saying is don’t look at models as role models (that’s odd to say haha!) unless you see them in person and know that they really look how they do in that picture, then more than likely that picture is photoshopped. Nobody is perfect, this world isn’t perfect so don’t put yourself down for not being like them. Always love to hear from you💕
