Jump-start your Conversion Optimisation with these 100 words
- Find a bunch of people who fit your customer profile and watch them use your website
- Observe their behaviour, interview them about their attitudes, and empathise with them
- Remove usability blockers. Make sure the words on your website counter their objections and anxieties. Lead with benefits rather than features, and add a sense of urgency to your conversion points
- Split test more than one purchase cycle. Take seasonality into account and only stop when you’ve reached a valid duration and sample size.
- Invest the new revenue into the next wave of optimisation and use the surplus to buy more traffic
