Loving the thoroughness of the work, but are you recommending in-field placeholders?

NNg, other studies, and A/B tests suggest that in-field labels make the field less noticeable (as it appears filled in, either with defaults or by auto-complete.).

Besides usability, I’ve also seen A/B test studies and show the concerns about impact conversion rates.
