People will have to help each other out more in the future.
This is true. Even if it feels like the opposite is happening. With apps and gadgets that are making us more independent or self-dependant; we may think that we won’t need anyone in the future.
But that is simply false. Because when shit hits the fan, people actually have the potential to become more generous. They know the journey is rough, they know the economy crashed. People develop a feeling of solidarity with others who have it hard as well. As jobs get scarce and the world changes too rapidly for that strata of people who were not there at the right place at the right time, there hopefully will be a new ethos of companionship and help in worklife.
We live in a world where a 23 year old feels old and behind technology. There are many people out there who have so much potential but who were never given a chance. I don’t mean people with underprivileged backgrounds but people from every background.
Everyone finds it hard in the beginning.
And that is why they should be helped by the ‘elders’. So they can help the ones that come after them.
It already is with the booming shared economy. That is what @workaboutnet is set out to do. To make networking more equal, tangible and accessible for everyone.
