Breakfast of champions


Breakfast is the one meal I really hate eating. For years I went without it and seemed to function fine, but you know as they say breakfast is the most important meal of the day. So about a year ago I started forcing myself to eat something in the mornings.

Bacon and eggs is the best or flapjacks and bacon, anything with bacon actually. I found though that the bread in those breakfasts made me pretty tired by the time 11am rolled around. So I switched to a “healthier” option of omelette’s or bacon and eggs without the toast. That seemed to work better.

Then one day I decided to see what the most nutrient rich fruits/vegetables are so I could try make a smoothie in the morning with those. The highest up and easiest to get in SA are Brocolli and Blue Berries.

My morning smoothie now consists of:

  1. Banana
  2. Brocolli
  3. Blue Berries
  4. 2 Raw eggs
  5. Half and Avo
  6. Glutemine
  7. 3 Scoops protein powder
  8. Glass of Milk

That smoothie gives me the perfect base to start my day off and lasting energy until the evening. It sounds gross but it’s actually pretty good.
