#CampTShirtDay Announces A Special Edition on May 7th, 2020 to Raise Spirits As We Work Together To Beat Coronavirus
Dear Friends,
For 10 + years, we have worked together to build an international digital event that helps us celebrate the incredible industry we all share through #CampTShirtDay. Every November, our social feeds are filled with smiling photos of summer camp campers, staff, directors, and even pets. It brings a sense of warmth and comfort in knowing that despite the long road in the calendar ahead, a summer home awaits us all.
Through the years, we have been inspired by the hundreds of thousands of people who have taken part across the globe, united in their spirit in living ten months for two. But today, we find ourselves in unprecedented and challenging times in our global fight against coronavirus. It has brought uncertainty and changed our lives, as we do our part to socially distance from friends and family in a mass effort to slow the spread of the virus, and return to whatever normal awaits us.
Across the nation, most summer camps of all types and sizes are now under 100 days until the start of their season. Yes, there are questions that still need to be answered, but as a community we are staying closer than ever. As we speak to camp owners, directors, and executives around the world — they are united in their message:
We’re doing everything we can to find a way to deliver an incredible summer camp experience to our campers.
Needless to say, we’re inspired by this resolve and want to use our platform to shout this message to the world, invite our communities to come together, and use the camp pride and spirit that has always been the driving force of International Wear Your Summer Camp T-Shirt Day #camptshirtday to help us get through these rough times.
And to be clear, like all good camp friends — we’re here to support and celebrate everyone! We’ll make sure the camps who need to pause due to coronavirus for whatever reason get back up on their feet…because children need camp. Now more than ever.

Let’s work together to show the world the camp spirit it needs at this moment.
