Streaming video games has become the new medium for a new generation. It’s more engaging than any other form of media, because viewers can interact directly with their favorite personalities. That is exactly why they are also rolling in big $ums to go along with their big viewership.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock you are probably already familiar with many of the names on this list. If not, get ready as we take a look at the top Canadian streamers of 2020.

Shroud

Mike Grzesiek was a Counter-Strike pro who turned to full time streaming as a career. The mix between his high level FPS skills and his down to earth personality makes him one of the most watched streamers in the world. He was born in Mississauga, Ontario for those of you who are curious.

Shroud is also one of the first streaming personalities to receive a multi-million dollar contract to leave Twitch.

Félix Lengyel, born in Laval, Quebec, is another former esport pro turned full time streamer. His magnetic personality is drawn from his high energy and genuine streams.

Once one of the best Tank players at Overwatch, is now enjoying the internet and his huge, 2 million, loyal following. There is never a dull moment on xQc’s stream.

Pokimane

Imane Anys has come a long way in the last years to become one of streamings sweethearts. She is half Moroccan and Half Canadian, and we are pulling her to our side.

In 2017, Pokimane won the shorty award for the Best Twitch Streamer of the year and is listed as the 14th most followed user on Twitch as of January 2019. All thanks to her gameplay and personality, at games such as League of Legends, Fornite and her podcasts.

Gosu

Gosu

Real name is still unknown, despite being extremely popular. Gosu is well know for playing League of Legends at a very high skill level, and breaking over 1.5 million followers on Twitch.

Gosu resides in Alberta and streams on a daily basis since 2013. His also a former coach and streamer for Team SoloMid.

Disguised Toast

Jeremy Wang used to wear a mask in the shape of a toast for almost a year, until he accidentally showed his real face on stream in 2016. Since has grown to a massive million followers.

Disguised Toast is part of the wave of streamers moving from Twitch, to sign an exclusive deal with Facebook.

Natalia Mogollon is originally Colombian and moved to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan to attend university in 2010 where she later graduated with a nursing degree. In 2012 she started streaming on Twitch and now has over 1,025,000 followers.

While playing video games Alinity also promotes mental health awareness.

Caroline is from Toronto, Ontario and speaks English and Hebrew fluently. She is well known for streaming League of Legends (diamond rank) and cosplaying.

lilchiipmunk’s image is entangled with her long-term boyfriend, Summit1g, who is also a very famous twitch streamer.

Lisa Vannatta is from Calgary, Alberta and streams League of Legends on a daily basis. On top of being an avid gamer she is also a fitness buff.

STPeach also plays a lot of Fornite and enjoys doing cosplay. She is growing a strong viewership over the years and is on the verge of breaking a million followers on Twitch.

Daniel Warren-Biers is a super fan of the NBA and MLB games and takes a pleasure in streaming his matches. His currently a resident of Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Troydan is a big sports game fan but he also likes to hang around and try some other games once a while.

Brian Wyllie is born in Calgary, Alberta and started streaming on Twitch in 2012. His best known for games such as League of Legends and being on Team SoloMid.

At the moment TheOddOne considers himself a variety streamer, trying all kinds of games including his favorite WarCraft 3.

Stephanie Harvey is a former Ubisoft Canada employee who became a professional Counter-Strike player. She was able to quite her full time job when she started making more money from streaming on Twitch.

Currently missharvey is retired as a pro-player, but has a position at Counter-Logic Gaming as director of Esports Franchise Dev & Outreach. Born in Quebec, Canada she spends most of her time flying across the world to attend esport events.

OMGitsfirefoxx

Sonja Reid was in Forbes “30 Under 30” list in 2016 and was in the Guinness Book of World Records for being the biggest female streamer in 2017. Her resume is very impressive.

OMGitsfirefoxx was born in Sarnia, Ontario and is very well known for playing games like Overwatch,Counter-Strike or just fooling around. She currently tours gaming conventions doing panels with other gaming celebrities.
