Step by step guide to help you get started with Scribble

As per your feedback, we built an Sketch integration in Visual Inspector — Scribble — to help UI designers collaborate better with Copy writers. You are among the first to get to try. Using Scribble, you will be able to:

1. Upload your artboards to the web,
2. Invite copy writers to replace dummy text with real ones.
3. Sync latest copy back in local skech file.

And, now a Step-by-Step guide on how to collaborate your first UI design with copy writers in 30 seconds or less:

1. Go to Scribble landing page

2. Login to your existing account (Or, Create a FREE account ) by clicking on Get Started Free

You’ll reach Visual Inspector Dashboard > Click “Create Project”

Select “Create From Sketch App” to create a project from Sketch artboard

Enter project name

Download the Scribble Plugin for SketchApp

Go to Sketch (Install plugin) > Plugins > “Sync Artboard to Scribble”

Login to your CanvasFlip account > Select Artboards > Sync To Scribble

Grab the collaboration link & Start Collaboration:

Open link on the web* > Edit text > Sync changes

*Works in Chrome, Safari, Firefox or other major browsers. Go ahead & share collaboration link with copy writers.

Click “Get Latest Copy” in Sketch

All text inside will be automatically updated in your Sketch artboard.

Known issues/caveat:

We have done our best to give you as seamless experience as possible but, all good stuff come from iterations.

As of now, Scribble supports individual artboards upto 5Mb and there’s no limit number of artboards per project. All system fonts are supported and, support for web fonts / custom fonts will be available in next few days.

Scribble can be used in any major browser — Safari, Chrome, Firefox and there’s no dependency on Chrome extension.

What’s next:

Version control, real-time editing, web font/custom font support are still in private beta and personalized demos. Feel free to set up a demo to see what’s next.
