Life is busy. This is especially true during the summer when all I want to do is be outside. In order to stay on top of my work while I play, these tools help me to manage my blog and social channels in addition to those for clients. Most importantly, the iOS apps keep me synced and able to work anywhere.

Trello is an app that can be used to manage ideas, tasks, or anything. Trello helps me stay organized and track work by using cards to create lists of ideas or tasks for various projects. Projects can be personal or collaborative. Lists are customizable and track your progress. Best of all, the Trello mobile app allows you to manage your lists from anywhere and stay engaged with your team.

IFTTT (if this then that) is a magical little solution that helps to connect various web channels with a custom if-then-statement. IFTTT refers to these custom if-statements as ‘recipes’. As an example, I use a personal IFTTT recipe to check my public dropbox folder for new photos that have been added. If new photos are found in Dropbox, then they are moved to my photo stream. This is how I automate part of the process I use for posting photos to Instagram on behalf of my clients. The possibilities are endless.

Daily (by Buffer) is a mobile app that I use to queue up posts in Buffer for my social channels. I use this app when I have a few minutes of downtime to read and curate. This app uses a right-swipe gesture to add the post to buffer and left-swipe gesture to discard the post. It is very efficient in the sense that you are forced to make the decision to either use the content or discard it and move on.
