Student-centric, Future-centric Schools

To think that I had always known that I wanted to be out there, talking to people, teaching, coaching or guiding people and had to pass through the stereotype and status quo of curriculum is at best sickening. How do I go through an entire schooling system and non pointed me in the direction I wanted and in fact, needed to go?
I had to pass through a systemic, directed, teacher-centric approach and had to learn to learn their ways, other wise, I fail. I had to learn to cram and produce answers that my tutors wanted to hear or see and not necessarily what I thought or imagined.
My schools had schemes given by the Ministry of Education that had to be followed on weekly basis and therefore I had to learn a particular subject within a given time frame and pass my examinations, whether or not I fully understood the scope or better still whether it was relevant to my career ambitions.
This made me a more of a learner who learned, just to pass examinations and not really to gain and apply the knowledge I gained from school.
As an adult, my school experience has made me seek out other forms of schooling, bespoke to my internal yearnings to be what I want to be and not what my school, directed me to be, of course haven wasted many years.
I now have a clearer understanding of what I should be learning.

My schooling would have been improved by listening to the students and proving counsel and therefore, offer subjects that are tailored to individual needs,
Introducing skills acquisition programmes and some kind of internship could have helped students better understand their affiliations.
I think the following should be prioritised:
The student- Knowing the make up of each child and tailoring education to meet his needs;
-The future- Ensuring that whatever education anyone has, it should be a high-impact, well-rounded one. This will make a more confident, well developed and professional individual.
