Delicious irn bru hot sauce

Ingredients

  • Handful of fresh green finger chillies
  • 400ml Irn Bru
  • 3tsp golden syrup
  • Good quality chopped tomatoes, one can
  • Dill, a pinch
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cloves of garlic, crushed
  • A shot of buckfast (optional)

Method

  • STEP 1
  • First, add all ingredients to a pan. Spoon them all together and get them to know each other. Boil for a few minutes to soften the chillies.
  • STEP 2
  • Take a blender to the boiled ingredients. Blend to the point where there are no chunks and lumps.
  • STEP 3
  • Boil and reduce the sauce for 15 minutes. This will reduce the sauce by about half. Add to a jar, wait for the sauce to cool, serve.
