It was a pretty good weekend. I worked a little, did some yard maintenance for our apartment building, did a little shopping, did some hanging out with my partner. We binged watched TLC Extreme Cheapskates. Some of the ideas were actually pretty good and things that I would consider doing. CONSIDER. Other cheap tactics… I would not even dream of it. NOT. EVEN. DREAM. For example, hair as dental floss. Absolutely never.

Here’s how my weekend went $-wise:

$54.67: Take out/Coffee/Ice Cream.
I will fully admit that it is really hard for me to quit McDonald’s’ $1 ice coffee and $1.56 vanilla cone. It pains me to admit that, but it’s not helping me in the $ department. It seems so inexpensive at the point of sale, which then increases the probability that I am going to buy some for others… bah. I have to cool it on the sweet deal train. I also bought my sister and cousin some coffee + apple cinnamon brioche — it was so delicious. I made 2L of iced tea @ home, and prepped all of my meals for the week to make up for this sucker.

$20 for gas. I had to work out of town on Saturday and I did not like the thought of not having gas for the rest of the week so I got some at a good price and decided to chuck a 20 down on that deal.

$82 for clothing (estimated $50). I bought 2 bras ($22 each) and a pair of jeans ($30). They were 60% off the clearance price and I am soooooo happy about the bras. Seriously, people — if have been hmming and hawing about getting a new bra — DO IT. Get one that fits. It feels so good. The plan for this weekend coming up is doing a yearly Marie Kondo spruce up.

$22.32: Household expenses (ie. stuff for our apartment building maintenance). I will get reimbursed from the property manager for this.

I didn’t do laundry this week, which means I’m wearing my last pair of underwear today. MUST. DO. TONIGHT.

Estimate: $89
Actual: $178.99 (-$22.32 = $156.67)
