I Don’t Know What To Do
Zach Freshley

I would like to tell you that I understand, but, I don’t. I would like to offer words of encouragement, but there are none. I wish I could say you are safe. But, that would be a lie. I wish things were different. Well, who doesn’t. There are no words. There is only disillusionment and mistrust. As humans we cannot stay in that headspace without losing our minds. We must fight so that we can all survive. Nelson Mandela, MLK, Ghandi, and many others have had so many dark days that the rest of us just sit in amazement that they survived at all. The only thing we can do is to give meaning to those lives who were lost to such an unjust system. I wish you well, Zach. Even more, I wish you peace and safety.
