The Confidence Factor for Women: Are you falling off of the leadership cliff?

Where workplace bullying meets the decline of women in leadership is The Leadership Cliff for Women. There are women who are literally “bullied” out of high level leadership, which leaves others questioning if they are willing to face the ridicule of professional ascension.

The constant pessimism of women in the workplace and in leadership is a new reality. Workplace & leadership bullying has become an acceptable practice where women are “intimidated” into accepting roles which do not match their potential or provide long term acceleration. The greatest example is of Marissa Meyer, CEO of Yahoo. The non stop judgement and abatement of her value as a leader has been the joke within leadership circles since she was appointed to CEO.

The Solution.

As the founder of the Confidence Factor for Women, I have been privy to conversations with women in business and the workplace who feel the cliff. They feel the push from senior leaders to stop moving forward or face the barrage of embarrassment from being pushed out of leadership intentionally. However, many women do not know their rights or how fight for the right of equal pay and equal opportunities, hence, settling for safety.

I Deserve Equal Pay is a platform that will provide women with the tools and engage women in a broader conversation about leadership and their rights. I remember feeling the push before I left corporate America, while being criticized for everything, including my perfume in the workplace. However, I was not equipped 15 years ago with the right tools to fight a new form of gender discrimination that is hurting the chances of qualified women from seeking a position in high level leadership due to fear.

Get ready for a deeper conversation on confidence, sponsorship, advocacy, contracts, compensation, bullying and more. This is a global gender diversity conversation that must happen today.
