With the token airdrop coming soon, CARV is giving one more chance for users to participate fairly and transparently. To uphold the integrity of our community and ensure that rewards go to genuine contributors, we are taking a firm stance against fraudulent practices like Sybil farming. By offering an opportunity for self-reporting, we aim to level the playing field and make sure that the token distribution benefits those who truly support the network’s growth.
But what exactly is Sybil farming, and why is it a problem?
Who is Sybil?
Sybil farming is a fraudulent practice where individuals create multiple fake accounts to unfairly accumulate tokens or rewards. This tactic undermines the integrity of the network and disadvantages legitimate participants. At CARV, our goal is to ensure that token distribution benefits those who genuinely contribute to the network’s growth and sustainability, rather than those who exploit it through deceptive methods like Sybil farming.
What is Self-Report?
To promote fairness and transparency, we are offering an opportunity for Sybil users to self-report their activities. For the next 14 days, Sybil users can come forward and self-report their activities in exchange for 15% of their intended allocation, with no questions asked.
The self-reporting period will end on September 19th, 12:00 UTC+0. Any user identified as a Sybil and who has not self-reported by this time will forfeit their entire allocation.
How to Self-Report Sybil Activity
If you are a Sybil user and wish to self-report, follow these steps:
1. Visit https://sybil.carv.io during the self-report period:
- Starts on September 5, 12:00PM UTC+0
- Ends on September 19, 12:00PM UTC+0
2. Connect a wallet associated with Sybil activity.
3. Sign a message to prove ownership of the address.
4. Repeat the process for all Sybil addresses.
5. The addresses that have been signed will reserve 15% of the intended allocation.
Note: All allocation eligibility is subject to any legal or geographic requirements. Each transaction is done by signing a message with wallet and is considered permanent. Reporting via API and sample code is also provided to facilitate mass reporting.
Take Action Now!
This is your chance to make things right and retain a portion of your allocation. Visit sybil.carv.io and follow the steps to self-report today. The clock is ticking — don’t miss your chance to protect your interests.
Stay fair, stay honest, and contribute to a more secure and sustainable network.
