The Ultimate Guide to Building Your Network (without being sleazy)

I have a very difficult time networking. When I reflect I realize that a lot of my reticence is around a fear of asking for things, combined with a fear of rejection. It’s not for lack of wanting on my part — I often feel like my life would be richer with true mentors who I felt had my best interests in mind and a curiosity about what I would do next.

This is why your passages about adding value and making small asks is so valuable to me. If I can show my worth, then I feel less guilt about asking for something, and if I ask for something small, the chances of rejection are smaller.

Thanks! I will come back and refer to this often.
