The Declaration of The DEAL

We the People, hereby obligate the 45th President of the United States of America.

The People DO NOT CONSENT to a national debt in excess of 18,000,000,000,000 dollars.

The People of The United States of America declare that no person, who does not intellectually and contractually obligate his or her administration to the reduction of the national debt by at least a factor of 1,000,000,000,000 dollars per year, will be elected to serve as the 45th President of these United States. Nor will he or she be allowed to retain the office if this condition is not met to the satisfaction of The American People, who will enforce this agreement WITH PREJUDICE.

Two hundred and forty years ago, the people who created this nation first became united by their plight living under tyranny and despotism. With a reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, they mutually pledged to one another their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor as they fought for the fleeting freedoms we now take for granted.

Government of The People, by The People, and for The People, is the legacy of our Founding Fathers, and in our responsibility to carry that torch of liberty, we have become the derelict descendants of an honorable people. We have allowed a long train of abuses and usurpations to divide us from our common interest, threaten our security, and make more difficult the pursuit of happiness.

We must now unite around the reality that our unfathomable debt figure and its unfaltering trajectory, is the numerical representation of how corrupt, and unprincipled, our government has become. If we assume that there is a true and quantifiable relationship between the seemingly exponential growth of our national debt and our degree of deviation from the principles of limited Federal Government as designed by The Founders in The Constitution. Then, it is only reasonable to expect that if we choose to reduce our debt, then in the process we will also reduce the overall corruption within the system.

Therefore, The People maintain that the national debt, and its rate of growth, must be regarded as a ‘Clear and Present Danger’ to The Republic. We further contend, that the simple act of leading by example; to make good on our promise to pay our debts, will result in a top-down resurgence of intellectual honesty and principled behavior within both our bureaucracies and our culture. We choose to believe that the salvation of this nation can be found in this correlation between our debt and our misconduct. Reversing one will reverse the other.

We hold these truths to be self-evident: Public money is the lure of all evil in government. The best way to reduce debt is not to spend money {wealth} that has yet to be earned. Restricting access to money is the best way to prevent the “misappropriation” of those funds. Debt that grows independent of any consideration for how it will be re-paid can only be considered the financial consequence of bad investment, bad decision making, mismanagement, and/or mal-intent. Pain is unavoidable, and thus can only be postponed. “No,” can be spoken aloud, and in fact it is a concept that is required for the survival of every intelligent being interested in self-preservation.

We are experienced enough to know that the day is approaching when we will no longer be able to afford the status quo. Wealth is unlimited because it can be created. But the money supply {cash} must remain finite. The money and wealth that the government spends is real, it was earned and created by The People (or will be). But every dollar that the government spends, or promises that it will eventually pay, is a dollar that is unavailable for The People to spend and use to create wealth and prosperity.

This is why 94,000,000 Americans are not participating in the economy. The wealth that should enable them to do so is otherwise allocated; either wasted (or promised) by government, or hiding in places where its’ potential to create wealth and prosperity is stifled; perhaps for no other reason than to avoid tax. In any case, this money and wealth held hostage, is not creating more wealth. This is the source of the malaise and anger that we all feel, but until now could not articulate.

We must balance debt with wealth, or the economy will continue to leave people behind. We must not allow private citizens and companies, who have created and amassed wealth, independent of public money and policy, to be blamed for economic realities attributable to the true enemy of prosperity; Public Debt. This enemy and its’ defenders are both formidable and relentless. Like any “bad actor,” debt knows that it grows fastest when its’ influence is hidden in shadow.

If we allow our elected representatives to spend our money without limit or consequence, then in the not so distant future, the little money that remains in our pockets will have no value. In the past, paper notes printed by bankrupt governments have made better insulation against the cold than they have as a means of exchange for warmth. We must heed the lessons of history. A national debt that only grows will become inevitably septic, and we will not be able to stave off the infection of the dollar. As the life blood of the world’s economy, the repercussions of a diseased dollar are as unimaginable and as utterly undesirable as the number; negative nineteen trillion.

This is the CONDITION of your EMPLOYMENT and the ISSUE of this ELECTION, on which there can be no debate, no excuse, and no obfuscation. We will consider you as a candidate for Commander in Chief, perhaps even cast our vote in your favor, but you must agree to EXECUTE that which The People are right to DEMAND of THEIR REPRESENTATIVE. Failure to achieve the goal set forth in this document may result in your name being the last associated with the Office of the President. We are asking you to help us save The Republic. Trust that Divine Providence will once again guide the path of the honorable who seek liberty. God Bless America.

I ________________________, an Official Candidate for the Office of 45th President of the United States of America, do solemnly swear to The People, that should said voters choose to elect me Commander In Chief, my administration will make it our daily priority to work in every, legal, responsible, ethical, and most importantly, CONSTITUTIONAL manner, toward the object of reducing our national debt by a factor of no less than 1,000,000,000,000 dollars per year. I furthermore pledge my life, my fortune, and my sacred honor to the completion of this goal which is my charge.
