In Katanga, Democratic Republic of the Congo, youth and Anglican Bishop Rt. Rev. Bertin Subi held an outdoor prayer service. The young people and the adults spent time together outdoors to pray and hear the cry of the Earth.

After the prayer service, they planted a tree. These young people’s commitment to preserving and protecting the Earth is inspiring.

This event, along with hundreds of others around the world celebrates the Season of Creation, when we’re called to prayerfully reflect on our role as protectors of the Earth. Christians around the world are standing together to address climate change and commit to sustainable stewardship of Creation.
